1. Scope and rates
Send us the cargo details and the routing, and we reply with a rate and a scope in writing. Nothing is added later that we did not quote.
For Forwarders & Traders
A forwarder in Chennai wins cargo moving through Nagpur. A trader in Delhi buys from a supplier in Vidarbha. Neither has staff on the ground, so they appoint a local customs broker. ACSPL has done this work since 2006, and we file at all three Nagpur ICDs as well as at JNPT, Mumbai Port and Mumbai Airport. It does not matter where you are based. What matters is where your cargo clears. You keep the client, and we handle the ground.
Who This Is For
Different problems, same answer: a licensed broker where your cargo is and you are not. Both work wherever in India you are based.
For Freight Forwarders
You won the business and you keep it. We act as your customs broker at Nagpur or JNPT, working to your documents. We report to you, not to your customer.
For Outstation Traders
Your supplier may sit near Nagpur while you sit in Delhi, Punjab or Gujarat. We handle the pickup and the clearance, so you do not travel for the shipment.
The Part That Matters
Most forwarders worry about one thing first: will this broker go behind me and take my client? It is a fair question, so here is our answer.
Process
The authorisation step is where these arrangements usually go wrong, so it is worth setting out plainly.
Send us the cargo details and the routing, and we reply with a rate and a scope in writing. Nothing is added later that we did not quote.
A customs broker licence cannot be sub-let, so the authorisation letter must come from the IEC holder, with KYC papers alongside it. You can arrange it, and the paper trail stays clean.
Send the shipping documents. We check the HS code and file the Bill of Entry or the Shipping Bill, then handle examination and get out-of-charge.
We deal with the CFS and arrange inland transport.
We send the status to you. You update your client in your own name.
We invoice you at the agreed rate, and duty and statutory payments are passed on with receipts.
Filing Presence
This matters when you pick a broker, because there is a difference between filing a document and passing it on. We file at:
FAQ
No. We will not solicit or quote to a client you nominate to us, and that holds during the job and after it.
The IEC holder does. A customs broker licence cannot be sub-let, so the authorisation letter and KYC papers must come from the importer or exporter to us. You can arrange it, but the authorisation itself runs to the IEC holder, which keeps the paper trail clean.
Yes. Our own office in Navi Mumbai files at JNPT Nhava Sheva, Mumbai Port and Mumbai Airport. So we can act for you at the gateway, inland at Nagpur, or on both legs of the same shipment.
Yes. Where you sit does not matter. What matters is where your cargo clears. If it clears at the Nagpur ICDs or at JNPT, we can act for you. If it clears at Mundra or another port we do not file at, we will tell you straight away rather than take the job.
Back to back. We invoice you at the agreed rate, and you invoice your client in your own name. Duty and statutory payments are passed on with receipts.
No. We deal with your supplier on cargo readiness and pickup, and we position the container at their facility. You get status updates until the cargo is cleared.
We will say so, and work through our associates and freight partners instead. We will not push a shipment through Nagpur or JNPT just to keep the job.
We can file as soon as the rates are agreed and the authorisation and KYC are in hand. The authorisation is usually the slow step, so it helps to start it early.
Tell us the routing and the cargo, and whether you are appointing us as your agent or as the direct broker. We will reply with scope, rates and the authorisation checklist within 24 hours.
